Three Village Cats Named Blacky, Ariel and Luna

Hello!  Everyone, Reader. Introduce my name, Blacky. Like a dog's name, but I'm not a dog. I'm just a native cat that is sometimes considered useless and dirty the city view.

I'm three siblings. I have two younger siblings. A sassy female cat named Luna and a greedy male cat, just like me, named Ariel. My mom named Cyntia left us earlier this month. At that time the four of me took shelter in the sewers because of the hot afternoon weather.

Suddenly there was thunder and rain started to fall. Heavy rain accompanied by heavy winds scared us. After a few hours the water flooded the sewers. Damn, the end of the sewer clogged due to a pile of garbage. Humans around me are a hobby of littering.

Mama told us to get out of the sewer immediately to the gutter. I told Mama to come out, but she forced us to save ourselves first. The rubbish carried by the rain made it difficult for us. Luckily we soon reached the mainland. However, unlucky, Cyntia's mama was carried away by the flow of water.

Since our mother was left confused. Mama used to bring us leftovers. Sometimes the head of the fish, sometimes the rest of the meat in the chicken bones. Cats like us aren't as fortunate as other cats that humans keep. They provide a hobby with hundreds of thousands to millions of rupiah to just buy expensive cat food and milk. If diarrhea or no human appetite immediately go to the vet. But we are grateful. At least we live independently, moving freely not confined in a cage.

Me, Luna and Ariel are forced to live in a really harsh world. I just found out why Mama used to move cautiously with eyes fixed on the rubbish heap. Mama then ran nimbly towards us if she managed to get food. We called the joy of the arrival of mama, we scrambled scraps of food from trash.

Luna once got a kick from a human. At that time he walked casually towards the garbage can. The footwear kicks landing in Luna's stomach. He grimaced in pain. Luna then ran fast, enduring pain and hunger. That is the saddest, most painful feeling. Already hungry kicked anyway.

I advise Luna and Ariel to be vigilant if they are close to humans who do not expect us. Once we were given food by humans in the form of fresh milkfish. We also happily ate it. I feel the strangeness when biting the fish. The taste of the meat is rather bitter. I realized that the milkfish had been poisoned. Luckily we are still alive. We spit out the fish before it got too far into our digestion.

The way of life makes us a cat that must be vigilant in every human gesture. We are aware, we were born not to be nurtured and pampered by humans.

Once I crossed the highway which was full of vehicles. I was afraid of being hit by a motorcycle or car. Already hungry hit and died anyway. . Isn't that also sad?  I ran fast but my left foot behind the motorcycle tire. I screamed loudly. My leg bones are crushed. If I could cry like a human, I would have sobbed on the side of the road.

I pulled over from the highway. Fresh blood dripped from my feet. I'm still grateful that the motorcycle tires didn't run over my head.

Since the accident I have been unable to do anything. I often curl up and hide in the bush. I'm starving because I can't find food. Luna and Ariel can't help me. He even struggles just to fill his own stomach.

Perhaps out of pity, a young man approached me. He works in a restaurant. He tried to grab me, but I was shocked and clawed his hands until they bled. I'm afraid of humans.

That day he gave me a milkfish. I ran, traumatized by the poisonous milkfish, money almost killed us. The hunger that was wrapped around me brought me back to the milkfish. I greedily eat it. The milkfish is poisoned. At least if it's poisoned I die on a full stomach. Not starving to death.

Tomorrow I am still breathing. That means the milkfish is not poisonous. Means that man does not intend evil. Means that man is a good human.

The man came back. This time bring salted fish. I immediately called Ariel and Luna. Both of them had doubts about eating the fish. I assure you that it's not poisonous fish.

I began to tame and not violent again. When the man stroked my feathers I felt comfortable.

Is this how you feel to be a pet?  He was stunned when he saw my festering legs. He put me in a cage. I struggled. I don't want to be a pet. Let me be a native cat, be a free animal. It turns out that the man took me to the vet. Thankfully, how many days after being treated by a doctor I was able to walk, even though I was limping.

The man also named us Blacky, perhaps because of the color of my black fur. While my little sisters with white hair mixed with yellow are named Ariel and Luna.

Only a few weeks the man feeds fish. He now feeds us white rice mixed with salted or milk fish chunks. I sniff the rice, and as if to vomit.

How much is the price of fish?  How much rupiah to support a bobi caring for us?  That is not an expensive price. But I realize that employee salaries are not too large. I began to get used to eating rice mixed with fish. Although our stomachs are not used to it. At least we are not starving. (Miv)
