Cardboard Attraction for Cats

Cats and cardboard, one living thing and another inanimate object, but it seems to have something to do. Just put one cardboard box open, then the cats at home are fun playing with it.

There are people who go straight in and snore, others who put up a swing before jumping. Sometimes the empty box becomes a struggle and becomes a source of fighting between cats.

Why are cats interested in cardboard?

I don't know. This seems to be the instinct of a cat who likes to explore new places. Indeed, cardboard remains a favorite. Usually they also like to fit into an open suitcase, drawer, or open cupboard.

Sometimes I get annoyed when I'm busy arranging things on a cardboard box, or about to fold a cardboard box to give to scavengers, cats show up. The twinkling of their eyes shine a light. Wow, there will be a cardboard drama soon, between me and my cat, and also my fellow cats.

Since I moved to East Jakarta, there have been various generations of cats, from Upik, Mother Nero, then Nero, the Tiny I missing, and the Tiny II aka Ponoc.
Outside of them there are also cats that have visited and are still visiting, such as Momo Hitam, Pwan, Kecil, Mew, and many more. They are different colors and properties, some are sweet, many are naughty.

But they have something in common, both like cardboard. Some cats are born and large with a cardboard house. Momo Hitam and Nero when they were little also seemed to get along well and sleep together in one box. Now they always fight.

Maybe they consider cardboard a part of childhood, so they want to reminisce with him. Or sleeping in a cardboard is comfortable and warm, especially when you have to sleep outside the home.

When they saw me pulling out the cardboard box and were about to fill it up, they went into trouble. The Ponoc chose one of the boxes and immediately pretended to sleep in it.
Nero is no less troubling. He pawed the cardboard outside the cardboard before then wanted to do the most extreme cat action. Seeing his signs, I tweaked him, and drove him out of the house.

Sometimes I give up. I don't play with the little Ponoc cardboard. He now only uses it occasionally for naps. Which is in demand when there is cardboard on the porch. Usually there is just a mother cat to bring kittens into it. I want to throw it away, but often I can't bear to see wild kittens sleep soundly in them.

Who's the kitten?
